Manager, Entrepreneur Services

Bioenterprise Corporation is a business accelerator serving start-up, early stage and established companies in the agri-food and agri-technology sectors. The company’s purpose is to speed the path from product concept to profitability by delivering business advice, introductions to our vast network of government, industry and academic contacts, technology assessments, and funding solutions.  Bioenterprise is staffed by proven business managers with real-world entrepreneurial experience.

The position of Manager of Entrepreneur Services is new and reflects the organization’s growth in recent years.  The position requires an experienced project and people manager capable of moving entrepreneurs and their projects down the road efficiently. There is a high and revolving volume of new and existing customer contacts. Managing multiple interactions, schedules, and opportunities across these customers and internal and external project participants will be the key to success. 

The organization has an intake and progression system for entrepreneurs wishing to engage with Bioenterprise. The candidate will manage the flow of companies through the system and ensure that deliverables are being achieved as promised.

The position will appeal to those with 5 - 7 years of related business experience and high energy while possessing exceptional communication skills and an ability to make things happen in an ever-changing environment.

Customer Service Co-ordinator

Bioenterprise Corporation is a business accelerator serving start-up, early stage and established companies in the agri-food and agri-technology sectors. The company’s purpose is to speed the path from product concept to profitability by delivering business advice, introductions to our vast network of government, industry and academic contacts, technology assessments, and funding solutions.  Bioenterprise is staffed by proven business managers with real-world entrepreneurial experience.

Currently a number of customer intake, analysis, and project distribution processes are in place.  The organization is looking to add new systems and processes to better manage the increasing flow of entrepreneurs through our doors.  The Co-ordinator will be charged with ensuring that the processes are streamlined, observed and documented and that all involved parties are kept up to date on the status of entrepreneur projects.    

This position will appeal to a person who is detail oriented and organized and who is a team player capable of gaining the cooperation of multiple teams working on multiple projects.  Ideally the candidate will have had similar experience with project management tasks in an energetic environment.  This position requires someone with 3 to 5 years of related work experience, excellence in communication and strong customer service orientation.

Business Analyst - Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods

Bioenterprise Corporation is a business accelerator serving start-up, early stage and established companies in the agri-food and agri-technology sectors. The company’s purpose is to speed the path from product concept to profitability by delivering business advice, introductions to our vast network of government, industry and academic contacts, technology assessments, and funding solutions.  Bioenterprise is staffed by a proven team of business managers with real-world entrepreneurial experience.

Bioenterprise is currently looking to add a Business Analyst in the Nutraceutical and Functional Foods area of our business.  The duties would be project based and geared to the needs of our entrepreneur customers, which will include assisting with the development and assessment of:

• Underlying science, technologies and products
• Markets and competitive analysis
• Regulatory concerns and gov’t restrictions
• Business strategies and revenue models
• Business Plans and Financial Strategies 

Typically, we are a multi-tasking group, managing a variety of projects at various levels of development.  Managing, working and communicating with entrepreneurial personalities and with members of the Bioenterprise team is fundamental to success. The candidate will work as a member of a team that may include mentors, scientists and managers and often will be the project lead.

This position requires someone with knowledge of the food or nutraceutical markets.  An understanding of the science of food or nutrition combined with experience related to how food, health food, and supplements are marketed would be ideal.  The candidate will have had at least 5 years work experience and be an organized, self-starter with strong communication and presentation skills.
