Tony Harborow, Advisor, Business Planning

Tony Harborow is a seasoned business executive who provides strategic and operational planning support to Bioenterprise clients in business development, and commercializing new products and services. He came to Canada with Ciba-Geigy, having graduated in life sciences from Clifton College.

Tony has a broad range of experience gathered from over thirty years of management roles with Ciba-Geigy and North American Cyanamid, mainly in agriculture. His roles included Corporate Planning and Development, leading the Marketing of Ciba Geigy’s Crop Chemicals, and a number of years as the General Manager of the Green Cross Lawn and Garden business. During his time with Ciba-Geigy, Tony spearheaded two major corporate acquisitions.

In 1993, Tony started OKA Consulting Company which is active in providing a broad range of advice in Business Planning, Marketing and Supply Management. Clients have included Agrium, Business Development Bank of Canada, Agricorp Crop Insurance and Novartis. During that time he started up Engage Animal Health, a distribution company to veterinarians and farm supply outlets for food animals.

Tony helps Bioenterprise clients convert emerging product and corporate ideas into concrete, achievable business plans. Tony has a number of planning systems at his hand, and is able to call on a great number of contacts acquired over the years.
