Colin Farnum

Colin is formerly the Senior Director, Science and New Technologies at Maple Leaf Foods, responsible for sourcing and evaluation of new food technologies for commercial implementation. Prior to that role, he led the Product Development activities for Maple Leaf Consumer Foods focusing on processed meats, pie and pastry items and meat snacks. He has been in the food Industry for over 35 years dating back to positions at Canada Packers and Maple Leaf Mills. His experience encompasses meat, cheese, pastry, sugar and pet food technologies.

Colin holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Food Science, with the former from the University of Toronto and the latter, the University of Guelph.
